In-house training in Napier - Industry Training Academy
 In Uncategorized

The first week in October saw the Industry Training Academy team head to Napier. We took over a good portion of the Napier Sailing Club and put through 47 candidates who successfully completed the A Class, B Class and Supervise asbestos removal courses. This was the first outing for our mobile simulation unit, which worked perfectly for us. It was especially good that some of the early birds happily helped us to assemble it. The removal firms organised the venue and even included catering each day, so everyone felt very spoilt. A good team spirit developed over the week and it was very nice to see the cooperation and comeradery between the different firms. It’s always helpful to learn from each other and the different challenges and problems people have in their work. We can all learn from each other.

It was really nice to go to a new location and one with million dollar views was most enjoyable. Some of the candidates that stayed behind at the end helped us deconstruct everything, pack it in the van and then had a beer or two as a thanks for the hand.
